Time Out
I'm wondering if we use "time out" as a punishment too often. Last night, as we were watching the Saints/Vikings game (Yay Saints, by the way!), the camera pans to the sidelines. You know, when they show all the team members who are not on the field sitting on the bench?. Reagan says "Mommy, why them all in time out?" Matt and I looked at each other and tried not to laugh. I said "Oh, they aren't in time out. They are just waiting for their turn to play!" She says "But the man said "TIME OUT!" What dem do?" I again tried to explain that when you are part of a team, you take turns playing. She says "But dem are all just sitting there like they are in time out." And right as they cut to commercial the commentator says something like "The Vikings only have one time out remaining." Which Reagan took as confirmation that she was in fact right. "See, Mommy! Dem just said TIME OUT!"
