Prayers

A few months ago, Matt taught Reagan how to say her prayers before bed time. She tries to do the signs of the Cross, and then she clasps her little hands together. We say "God Bless ...." and then name off everyone we are praying for. She started out just repeating everyone we said first. But after a few days, she would clasp her hands and start on her own, "Mama, Dada, Nana, Nana, Papa, Mama, Dada, Nana, Mama" (Yes, Mommy and Nana got a LOT of blessings!)

About a month ago, we found out my cousin CarrieAnn (Reagan's Godmother) is pregnant! We immediately made sure to add "Aunt CarrieAnn, Uncle Ken, and the new baby in Aunt CarrieAnn's belly" to our prayer list. On the second night, when I said "Aunt CarrieAnn..." Reagan yelled out "NEW BABY!" and started clapping vigorously!

Every night since then, as soon as we're done with the sign of the Cross, Reagan immediately says "New Baby!" and then starts rubbing her tummy. It makes me smile every night. I hope Reagan and her new cousin will grow up as close as CarrieAnn and I did!
